Above: The location was cluttered with Road Signs and wires.I tried my best to enjoy being by the banks of the not so busy rural Route 17 in a Huckleberry Finn fashion and recall the outstanding scenery before me strikingly reminiscent of the view the American capital from Virginia across the Potomac. Below: Print Study for View of Washington North Carolina from across the Pamlico/Tar River Basins. In both versions you can clearly see the communication tower and the steeple from the episcopal church - located near each other downtown. Ship masts and streetlights break up the rest of the skyline of Washington. The similarities beyond the name and location and a few avenues,to the national capitol, only goes so far.
